It is my hope that this review will help to make your decision an easier one, not only for Opinion City but also on selecting survey jobs as a career choice, and whether or not it's what you want to do as time goes on.

OVERALL RATING:

WHAT IS OPINION CITY ALL ABOUT?

On first impression, and when you read their opening introduction, one will think that this is a place to finally put all doubts aside, regarding not being able to make money from taking online surveys.

In fact, they will have you believe that they have found "the best survey sites that actually pay".

Opinion City Review Is Opinion City a Scam? What is opinion city all about

I for one, am not a believer in survey jobs (I will share with you my experience of having used this method a little later on ). The bottom line here is, that they market Opinion City as the one-stop shop for the best survey jobs.

Is this really true?

Firstly, let me put one important fact forward before I go on. Opinion City does not offer you any direct survey jobs. You cannot and will not earn any money whatsoever from Opinion City.

So,what is Opinion City all about?

You see, they merely pose as a hub or a directory, if you will, of other survey companies that you can join.

Opinion City Scam. What is Opinion City all about? Just a directory of survey jobs

These are some of the Surveys companies listed on the Opinion City Website

They claim that these are their top rated companies that they have researched.

The warning bells went off for me when I saw what was going on here. Firstly, every signal one of these recommendations can easily be found with a simple Google search.

Why create a website listing of them? What is the real agenda behind this site?

That's when I discovered some red flags, which I would like to share with you in the next section.

THE REAL STORY BEHIND OPINION CITY - THE RED FLAGS

RED FLAG NR.1 : NO OWNER, NO REAL SPOKESPERSON

It's all nice to stake claim that they have your best interests at heart, but when there are no signs of any owners or founders to welcome you, it usually makes my guard go up.

And that is exactly the case here. In fact, the only sign of a real person, is the friendly face of a lady by the name of Alyssa.

Opinion City review who is Alyssa

It is fake. Who is Alyssa?

According to the official Opinion City website, she holds the title of 'Consumer Trend Investigator.' Sounds like she is from a different division of the CSI team(lol).

Anyway, it turns out that they've used an image from a stock photo website called topimages.

Opinion city is a scam by using fake testimonials

Hence, no one that you can trust here.

RED FLAG NR.2  Paid Surveys, Bonus Surveys, Hidden Agenda?

Notice that at the very top of the website, they have two options , paid surveys and bonus surveys.

The hidden agenda behind paid surveys and bonus surveys

You would think that by clicking on one of these options, you will be presented with some survey jobs, right?

Wrong!

Clicking on any one of these brings up an opt-in form. This is a sign-up form designed to get you to give them a valid e-mail address.

Is this the real agenda behind the Opinion City website?

Did you know that e-mail marketing is big business? That with a list of valid email addresses, they can either sell your email to other 3rd parties or use it themselves to promote future offers to you?

Don't you just hate spam emails?

I believe that if this is the case here, then it's a very sneaky way to extract your email address. They sort of lead you on and have you believe that they're going to show you valid survey jobs, which is not true.

Does this mean Opinion City is a scam?

Let me end this Opinion City review with my verdict

IS OPINION CITY A SCAM? MY PERSONAL OPINION

You will notice that every single survey company that they've reviewed, they've attributed a five star rating to it.

is opinion city a scam they are very misleading

I find this very misleading. I believe that these companies are legitimate, but the way in which Opinion City presented them, can leave many folks feeling disappointed.

And the reason as to why I am saying this, is simply from personal experience. Earlier on I told you that I am not a fan of survey jobs.

The reason is because on many occasions, I spent a great deal of effort screening survey after survey only to be told that I am rejected or did not qualify for the main paying survey. My latest review of Surveys2cash shows that that my luck with doing surveys jobs have not changed.

The feeling is nothing short of frustrating. Have you had a similar experience?

Anyway, that is why I believe that Opinion City markets these companies in a misleading manner, bringing false hope to people. Survey jobs are dependent on one's location, their demographics, their personal interests and so many other criteria.

To put it bluntly, there is no guarantee that you will be given surveys on a regular basis?

Is Opinion City a scam? I think that leading people to believe that they can provide them with a sure way of making money from surveys, is both dangerous and unethical.

The site offers nothing substantial, and you end up giving your personal details in exchange for nothing whatsoever.

I personally do not recommend listening to what Opinion City has to say.

  1. Hi Roopesh,

Thanks for your post. Opinion City certainly does seem very scammy. Though I don’t think a site that aggregates together survey sites where you can sign up is scammy – that seems like a valid affiliate marketing scheme and will help people interested in taking paid surveys sign up with reputable companies. However, I am concerned about writers whose profile pictures are really just stock photos and paid/bonus survey sections designed to get users to enter their emails for no discernible reason. To me, that screams scam.

Appreciate you shedding light on Opinion City and their shady practices.

  2. Like you, it is always a huge red flag if the owner of the company isn’t shown in full detail, and particularly with all the scams going around, it’s not really possible to trust a company that has used a stock photo for their about me story, that’s just scary! I think for me, I would need to avoid Opinion City based on your review. Thank you
