What are some Good Niches to Start a Killer Online Business?

 

Are you looking to get into affiliate marketing? Would you like to get a head start and know what are some good niches for your online business?

You have come to the right place.

Today I’ve got five awesome niches for you to choose from. Remember, these are my recommendations. By no means, are they the only ones. There are tons of them out there. I personally think that 98% of the niches out there are profitable.

So, even if you choose something else and work hard at it, you can surely make it a success.

Before I get into the niches, let me quickly explain to some of our new readers a little about affiliate marketing.

What is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is simply a business model whereby you, the affiliate, earns money(or commissions) by promoting other people’s services or products via your website.

When you register with an affiliate merchant like Amazon, you will be provided with an affiliate link to promote any product that they sell on their website.

Once a reader or visitor clicks on the product that you are promoting, then they will be directed to Amazon to make a purchase.

You will then earn your well-deserved commission.

The best part about affiliate marketing is that you

• Don’t have to stock any product of your own
• Don’t need to deal with any orders
• Don’t need to ship anything

Now onto some of the good niches that I promised to you.

Niche One  : Baby Accessories

The baby industry is big.

This also means that the competition can be tough.

So, how then can we make money from this market?

All you have to do is narrow down the niche. Instead of focusing on everything for babies like clothing or shoes, zone in on something that will make your site unique.

I am talking about baby accessories.

Exactly what type of accessories?  Here are some examples.

• Bibs and Burp Cloths( you can chat about the Dc Comics Bips, to the Silicone Bibs to Bandana Bibs– (These are just the 3 of 5487 results on Amazon alone)

 

 

 

 

 

 

• Hats (from toddler safety hats, to cotton beanies, to monkey knit hats and fleece embroidered knitted sets, you are spoilt for choice from over 8000 search results)
• Leg warmers-ranging from different animal prints to popular character designs and logos
• You can also include gloves and mittens to your site

By building an affiliate website, your primary focus would be to drive people from your baby accessory site to the vendor(in this case it is Amazon).

Note: Amazon is one of 100’s of affiliate merchants out there. Simply type in baby accessories + affiliate programs, into the Google Search bar and you will find so many other affiliate programs to join.

Niche Two : Darts

I remember years back, I used to sit with dad and watch Dart tournaments on TV.

I must admit that initially, I used to find the sport boring to watch. Once I understood games like 401, 301 and Killer, I started enjoying watching darts.

As my dad was an avid player and used to win trophies, I naturally learned and practiced at home. It was always just for fun as I never bothered to take it any further.

Anyway, as I was browsing and doing research on finding out some good niches for this article, I decided to check out the darts niche.

Guess what I learned?

 

Isn’t that amazing? From the graph above, you can see that this niche is trending consistently throughout the year.

If you choose this niche your site can focus on just a couple of things to make it a success

• Standard Dart Boards
• Customized NBA or MLB Magnetic Dart Boards
• Standard Darts or MLB Dart and Flight Sets
• Licensed NHL Dart Cabinet Set

Niche Three :  Wall Art

You really don’t have to be an interior decorator to take up this niche.

The truth is, you only need to be passionate about helping someone put an extra touch to their home. Be it for their kitchen, dining room or even their study.

Wall art is a huge market to target. People need help when it comes to making a decision as to which one to go with.

There are many types of wall art, from drawings to mixed media, to paintings and photographs and posters. You can help folks with so many subjects.

Some of the subjects include

• Animals,
• Astrology,
• Fantasy,
• Sports,
• Figures,
• Historical
• People,
• Places
• Religion

This is NOT even the complete list. Amazon lists at least around 27 subjects each having 1000’s of choices for you to talk about.

Help people improve the style of their place and you can have an awesome online business on your hands.

Niche Four : Men’s Grooming

It’s about helping men look good.

You can really narrow down this niche by just focusing on grooming accessories.

Here are some ideas

• Pure Badge Shaving Brush
• Nickel Stands for shaving brush and razor
• Men’s Hair Removal cream
• Organic hair removal kit with tea tree oil
• Men’s Hair Removal waxing strips

All of these products are listed on Amazon. There are plenty of reviews for each of them which shows that folks out there are using them.

With regards to the electric shaver-  As technology keeps improving there will always be a better electric shaver than its predecessor.

Your job as an affiliate marketer to write out helpful and engaging product reviews and bring it to the people’s awareness.You can write about the different types of electric shavers and also include reviews of the accessory products that I’ve mentioned earlier on.

Once you have helped them, they will help you earn your commissions.

Niche Five :  Train Sets

Train sets first started getting built around the time of World War One.They were made by the Germans after which other companies then starting following the trend.

The material initially used to make them was brass. Now they are made using aluminum and steel to make the train more solid and durable. When making these models, a common technique called ‘weathering’ is used. This brings out more detail and helps to show the effect that certain weather conditions have on real trains.

All of these improvements and changes show that adults are indeed taking an interest in model trains and making it their hobby.

Train sets show no decline in sales as time goes by. There may be some occasional dips but if you build a site around this niche, you can still earn regular returns.Check out the graph to see what I mean.

This is another niche whereby you can monetise your site by focusing on the following areas
