Welcome to my Mindswarms Survey review. Would you like to make money from sharing your opinion? You probably might have heard that question like a thousand times! But what if I tell you that this is not your 'normal' online survey opportunity?

You can make money by doing really short videos? Does that interest you? Is MindSwarms a scam, or can you make $50 per video study?

I signed up with Mindswarms. I wanted to see for myself how the app works. Did I make money with Mindswarms? Do I recommend downloading this app?

It's always good to keep your options open. And today I am going to help you decide whether or not it's feasible to include Mindswarms as a way of making money.

Do I recommend it? Yes - if you enjoy doing surveys

No - if you want to make serious money                                                        online.

Mindswarms is a twist from your traditional online survey jobs.

Normal online survey jobs can take a great of your time.

With Mindswarms, you provide feedback to companies via video surveys. The cool part is that they video surveys only take 60 seconds per question.

They pay $50 per video survey. However, you are not always guaranteed video survey jobs.

It can provide you with an opportunity to make some spending money, but it will not allow you to earn life-changing money.

Leading brands and companies want to offer their customer the best possible product or service. And to do that, they need to know what the customer is feeling towards using that particular product or service.

They want to learn how the customer interacts with the product, and what it is that they like or don't like. It's all about doing market research.

And so they "listen to the voice of the customer." All thanks to Mindswarms, a market research company that conducts video surveys to help companies make better business decisions.

Who is the founder of mindswarms

Mindswarms is a privately held company that was founded back in 2008 by Tom Bassett. Its headquarters is based in San Francisco.

When you visit the official website, you might notice that they spend a fair amount of time chatting about how their services can help companies or researchers.

Though they do not evidently advertise it, they do need participants as well. And this is where you and I come into the picture. This is where we can register.

Let me take you through the registration process.

It's free to sign-up with Mindswarms. However, it's slightly tricky getting started if it's your first time visiting the official Mindswarms website.

They do not exactly have a tab that reads "sign up for a video survey job." There are two ways to finding your way to register as a survey taker.

The first way, is to click on the 'contact' page and you will be presented with two options.

How to register with mindswarms

Enter your text here...You learn more on how to use the platform as a researcher for your company, or you can choose to earn money by participating in study.

The other way to register, is by scrolling all the way down the homepage, till you get to some options.

How to register with Mindswarms

Then just click on services. It will take you to a page where you can learn how the video survey job works.

How to sign-up with Mindswarms

You will then have the option of registering as normal online, or alternatively, you can download the app via the Google play store.

I choose to do the latter.

The entire process was fairly easy. Apart from the normal application process, you also would have to submit a short 30-40 second video talking about something that you are passionate about.

They want to see if you are comfortable in front of the camera. Remember all the jobs will be done via video format. So, if you are new to this, it will take some time to get used to it.

Once you are all set up with the Mindswarms app, then you just have to wait.

You may or you may get not video assignments initially. In my case, I did not.

You have to be invited to a study. Should there be an available study, you have to first complete a screener.

A screener is basically to check if you do actually meet the criteria to do the main paying video survey.

Unfortunately, like with most screeners, you do not know how long it will take. It could be one question, it could be more. But the bottom line is that you will not get paid for answering screener questions.

The fun starts when you finally get accepted to do a study. You will be given 10 questions to answer. The cool part is that your answers need only be 60 seconds in length.

You will get paid $50 per study completed. And they pay you via PayPal.

Are people happy with using the Mindswarms app?

I think that $50 per video survey is probably one of the highest paid in the survey industry. And that's what you get when you complete a video survey with Mindswarms.

You get paid 24 hours after completing a survey. You also get the money wired into a Paypal account. One of the other ways of payment is via Amazon gift cards.

It's good to see that out of 375 reviews, Mindswarms scored an average of 4 out of five stars.

Are customers happy with using Mindswarms, or is Mindswarms a scam?

To highlight some of the positive points -

  • The app is easy to use
  • Easy cash out procedure
  • Assignments are quick, easy, and fun to do

Some of the reviewers who gave a low rating talked about :

  • Not having enough survey jobs
  • Time wasted on screening surveys
  • The app is slow and freezes at times
  • No survey studies after waiting for a year!

So, it is worth your while signing up for Mindswams? Let's take a look at the pros and cons of this business opportunity first.

They accept worldwide registrations.

The payout is PayPal.

It's free to register.

The app is easy to use.

No training or tips on how to make a profile video stand out.

No guarantee of video studies.

Not a passive income business opportunity.

I recall that some folks labeled Mindswarms a scam. I also noticed that some of these folks are the ones who have not as yet been invited to a paid study.

Either they did a number of screeners only to be rejected, or have never had screeners since having downloaded the app.

And honestly speaking, I do understand where they are coming from. They want results.

It would also be nice had they offered some tips on how one can go about creating the best profile video, to increase one's chances of getting selected.

Having said that, Minswarms will only call for your assistance when you are needed. I too am still waiting for my first gig. Many people have waited for a while before finally receiving that breakthrough.

I do not think that Mindswarms is a scam.

Do I recommend that one should sign-up?

I say why not?

The registration process is easy. My experience has been far less stressful and frustrating signing up with Mindswarms as compared to the traditional online survey platforms.

And if you were to tackle a video survey, you know it's only going to be 6 minutes in duration. Online surveys can take you 20 minutes or longer!

Bottom Line : Do not rely on this platform as your sole source of income. Yes $50 would be great. But even the most positive of reviewers mentioned that it's not a place of consistent jobs.

Survey platforms, irrespective of whether it's a video or not, are not ways to make a sustainable income. They might help you with some spending money, but's it will not be life-changing. This is my opinion.

If you are looking to make your time and efforts count, then why not consider building your own online business. A business that can and will provide you with a passive income.

Yes, it will not happen overnight. But you can get started even if you have a full-time job or other commitments. You also do not need any experience to get started online. In fact, take a look at the affiliate training platform that helped me to get started.

Thanks so much for joining on this Mindswarms review.

I hope it has helped you out.

Are you someone who loves to be in front of the camera,or do you shy away from the opportunity?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

  1. This is the first time that I read about a survey site paying $50 dollars for a completed survey. Although that is an excellent payment, the downside is that it can apparently take a long time before you are called for a survey. If a year can go by, I think that I would even forget I had the app in the first place, lol. It’s certainly not a good way to make an extra income, but it will be good for some pocket money. And when a survey is sent to you, the $50 could mean a nice treat at a restaurant, for shopping, or anything else you’d like to reward yourself with. 🙂

  2. I most certainly enjoyed your article.  I would say that the video reviews for $50 would be something to check every now and again.  Do you find you get a decent amount of surveys (normal ones) (1 in 5 is the norm) or do they run out?  That would definitely kill it for me!

    • Hey there

For me personally, I am still awaiting my first gig. Rest assured if I do get it, I will update this post.

Wish you everything of the best
