It's a really big deal. Starting your own business is something that can change your life and whilst it can bring in great rewards, it can also make you feel frustrated or even regret your decision.
It is my hope that this review will help you to come to an informed decision. At the end of the day, you want to make sure that you are doing what is best for you.
So let's take a look at the Plexus Worldwide MLM business.
WHAT IS PLEXUS WORLDWIDE ALL ABOUT?
Plexus Worldwide is a direct sales company that specializes in selling products within the health and wellness niche.
At the moment the country does not operate all over. They are based within these countries only, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Mexico.
Like with most MLM(multi-level-marketing) business models like Lifevantage, Jeunesse, and Hempworx, it thrives on its members to promote the products. In return, members or ambassadors have the opportunity to earn money by either selling these products and/or participating in their compensation plan.
I will show you in a moment how you can go about making money with Plexus.
Let us see who the founders of the company are.
WHO IS THE FOUNDER OF PLEXUS WORLDWIDE?
The CEO and Founder of Plexus is Tarl Robinson. The company started back in 2008, with only one product namely the in-home breast health kit.
Both of his parents earned their income as a result of been distributors within the network marketing business. He is overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company.
In 2016, the company was recognized by the Phoenix Business Journal as Arizona's fastest-growing privately-owned company.
Is it worth your time to still join the company? I will show you shortly what the success rates are for existing members shortly. For now, let's take a look at their products.
THE PLEXUS WORLDWIDE PRODUCTS-DO THEY REALLY WORK?
Plexus has products that serve the health and wellness industry. The products cover a range of categories.
These are some of the main categories :
- Weight Management
- Nutrition
- Skincare
- Personal Care
One of their newer products is the Plexus XFactor Plus multivitamin.
One month's supply is $44.95. You can get it at a discount should you register for their autoship program. That means that you agree to pay for monthly supplies for the products.
Do Plexus products really work?
When it comes to vitamins, nutritional and weight-loss products, the outcome varies from person to person. As a pharmacist, I used to tell my clients that if one takes too much of a vitamin, then it's just going to be "money going down the toilet."
As for nutritional and weight-loss products, it really does depend on how your body reacts to the ingredients. Some folks might develop a rash to the product. As can be seen in this complaint taken from the BBB(Better Business Bureau) site.
As such one needs to check with their doctor before taking these medications if they are currently on any other meds. The Plexus Products do carry the standard FDA disclaimer.
You can also purchase special combo packs. The company also sells trial packs and samples. That is a plus in my books as it gives you the opportunity to try out, before committing to the full packs.
You can get some of these products on 3-day or 7-day trial packs.
The Plexus products do come with a 60-day money back guarantee. However, please remember that they start counting down 60-days from the day in which you place the order, and not from the day you receive the product.
Now lets see how you can make money with Plexus.
HOW TO MAKE MONEY WITH THE PLEXUS WORLDWIDE COMPANY?
To start earning money with Plexus, you would first need to register as a Plexus Ambassador.
To qualify for commissions, incentives, and other bonuses, you would have to maintain a Plexus Annual Membership of $39.95.In addition, if you want to participate in their compensation plan, then you have to make sure that you maintain at least 100 in Personal Volume (PV) through the monthly cycle end date.
The PV is the points that are allocated to the products that you purchase.
The Plexus Compensation plan is a bit complex, but I will try my best to simplify it for you.
There are 9 main ways in which you can earn within the company.
- Retail Rewards Commission
- Retail Rewards Override Commissions
- Preferred Customer Bonus
- One-Time Achievement Bonus
- Business Building Bonuses (BBB)
- Plexus Points
- Emerald Pool Bonus
- Sapphire Pool Bonus
- Diamond Pool Bonus
The first method is where you do not have to concentrate on building a network.
You simply earn profits by selling the Plexus products at the retail price. You can either sell them physically to customers or direct them to your own Plexus replicated site.
Then from the second way onwards you earn commissions as the ambassadors you enroll purchase products. If a customer chooses to become a preferred customer you earn a bonus on products that these customers order.
Then as you enroll more members, you earn a one-time rank achievement bonus.
With the business building bonus, you earn if a new ambassador purchases a once-off Plexus welcome pack.
You earn plexus points for each ambassador within your downline who accumulates 100pv or if they purchase a welcome pack to the value of $100.
Then as you recruit more members, you ascend the company ranks and can qualify to receive the Emerald, Sapphire, and Diamond pool bonus. This is where you can earn a percentage of the company's commissionable volume.
PLEXUS CAR AND LIFESTYLE BONUS PROGRAM
If you maintain the Emerald, Sapphire, and Diamond ranks, then you can qualify for their car and lifestyle bonus program.
PLEXUS CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS-IS IT SOMETHING TO WORRY ABOUT?
- Not honoring refunds.
- Not canceling autoship orders.
- Not canceling active memberships.
- Unauthorized debit orders
These were some of the main complaints that came up when I visited the Better Business Bureau. It was interesting to note that at the time of writing this review, there were 78 complaints lodged against the company.
But in all fairness, there were some positive comments and the company took the time to respond to all queries.
Is Plexus Worldwide a scam? Let's take a look at the pros and cons first.
WHAT I LIKE ABOUT PLEXUS WORLDWIDE
They have an income disclosure statement.
Their products are non-GMO, and gluten free.
They have an active FaceBook social media account.
They have free online social media webinars
WHAT I DO NOT LIKE ABOUT PLEXUS WORLDWIDE
The products are expensive.
To qualify for discounts you need to maintain an autoship.
They have a complex compensation plan.
Plexus is not registered with the DSA(Direct Selling Association).
To earn the higher paychecks you need to recruit.
IS PLEXUS WORLDWIDE A SCAM? MY PERSONAL OPINION
Is Plexus worldwide a scam? In my personal opinion, I do not think that it is a scam. The company does regularly update their blog and they are present in a number of countries.
However, if you are thinking of joining this company as a means to make money, then consider these two issues.
ISSUE ONE : The Products are Not Exclusive To The Official Site
As an ambassador, one of the main ways to earn profits is by selling the products.Unfortunately some of these products can be bought from the Amazon website.
Let's face it, the health and wellness industry is a very competitive niche. It's one thing to have this competition but added to that, it may be a challenge to sell the products if they can be sourced from 3rd party sites.
ISSUE TWO: Recruiting is the Key to Success
The success within an MLM-business highly depends on how well you can build a successful downline. That is if you are intending to earn the bigger paychecks.
According to the Plexus Income Disclosure, it shows that a very small percentage(0.06%) earns $418.174. To earn $10,237, you have to be within the 2% group of the company. Around 82.41% most of the ambassadors are earning below $500.
In other words, it's not impossible, but a challenge to be a success within the MLM business. We all are different and have different skills, marketing experiences and so forth. It's not easy to duplicate your efforts in others, but it can certainly be done.
If these two issues do not bother you, then perhaps give Plexus worldwide go.
And if recruiting is not your ideal way of making money online, then read further on.
EARN A PASSIVE INCOME WITHOUT HAVE TO RECRUIT
Yes, you can build an online business without the need to recruit anyone. You do not have to cold-call anyone.
You will be able to build a business based on a topic that you are passionate about, or maybe even a hobby you have, or something that you love to talk about.
Thanks so much for joining me on this Plexus Worldwide MLM review.
I hope that it has helped you out.
Have you tried MLM-businesses before? If not, would you give it a try or not?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Wishing you everything of the best on your online future.
Regards and Take Care

As someone with extensive Direct Sales, Multi-Level experience, I can say you have done a good job at your review of Plexus. I would, however, caution anyone even remotely considering Direct Sales to do far more research, on more than just one company. The most important pieces of making this puzzle work are your personal interest/passion in the industry you choose AND the quality of the products you are endorsing. Be careful!
Brillant advice, thanks so much. Appreciate it.
Thank you for a well-written review of Plexus. I have tried a couple of MLM companies and I will personally not do it again. It is not my type of business method. The companies I joined were serious and well known. Further, their products were well documented and several of them were are scientifically proven. The reason why I didn´t continue with the was the MLM business method. In order to earn big money, you have to work extremely hard trying to promote products that maybe people do not want or are available via several other people. And the products are in general expensive. It is a difficult branch of business.
Regarding Plexus it seems like a legit. What is not Ok with Plexus is that do not honor their customers right to returns, refunds and stop of delivery.
I have not heard of Plexus before, but then I do not live in one of the countries where the product is distributed. I am not a fan of the multi level marketing business model as it is almost impossible to make money with it without constantly having to recruit new team members and building a downline. Plexus certainly looks as if they are exactly the same.
Looking at the complaints on the Better Business Bureau’s site, I would not touch their products.
