WHO ARE THE FOUNDERS OF STAMPIN UP?
Stampin Up was founded back in 1988. The co-founders are Shelli Gardner and Sara Douglass.
Shelli maintains an active role in her own blog. Sara on the other hand sees her popular FaceBook network.
To me, this is comforting to learn. The owners are putting themselves out there. On many occasions upon having reviewed previous businesses, the owners showed little or no transparency at all. That is not the case here.
As far as the growth of the company is concerned, Stampin Up is located in various parts of the world.
These are the countries that they have an active involvement in. The United States and Puerto Rico, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Austria, Netherlands, and Japan.
WHAT IS STAMPIN UP ALL ABOUT?
Stampin Up is a direct sales company that concentrates on selling products related to the paper crafting industry.
Members who join the business will have the opportunity to sell the various Stampin Up products. The idea is to start a work from home business opportunity and I will talk more details about how you can make money soon.
But for now, let's take a look at their products.
THE STAMPIN UP PRODUCTS- ARE THEY REALLY THAT UNIQUE?
The company has some interesting products. You can buy stamps, stamp accessories, stationery basics such as designer paper and envelopes, coloring tools, punches, and inks.
If you are new to the world of paper crafting, then the company also provides you with the option to purchase one of their beginner Stampin Up Projects.
For instance, you can buy their Simply Citrus All-Inclusive Card kit for $32.00.
It consists of cards, designs, and a stamp set.
Are Stampin Up products really that unique? It's normal to find products that are exclusive to the company.
Even if that is the case here, I personally do not think that these products are unique.
A simple search on Amazon will show you that you can find similar products. In some cases, they might also be cheaper. So why then sign up for the company in the first place?
There is a reason for this and I will reveal it in the last part of this review.
WHAT IS PAPER PUMPKIN ALL ABOUT?
In addition to just products, the company has its own subscription kits. It is called Paper Pumpkin.
The Paper Pumpkin kit features projects like cards, gift packaging, home decor, and so forth.
You can choose from various monthly subscription plans.
How can you make money with Stampin Up?
Let me show you.
HOW TO MAKE MONEY WITH STAMPIN UP?
To get started with the Stampin Up business, you would first need to register as a Stampin Up demonstrator.
As a demonstrator, your job would be to 'teach others how to be creative using high-quality stamps, ink, and paper.'
The idea is to share the experience of doing projects at ' physical parties,' as well as online. Through these networks, you can connect with family and friends to make a project.
And as you share creative techniques and ideas, you can have the opportunity to grow your business by selling the products as well as enrolling new demonstrators to your downline.
HOW MUCH MONEY CAN YOU MAKE WITH STAMPIN UP?
Unfortunately, the site does not have a detailed compensation plan. However, you can earn retail sales profits. According to the site, you can earn 20-25% on every sale.
You can also earn Stampin rewards on party sales. These rewards can be used to get discounts on future product purchases.
In addition, you can also earn on sales volume. Once again there is no definitive comp.plan to show you how to qualify for the incentive trips to Thailand, Alaska, Meditteraen cruises, and so on.
HOW MUCH DOES STAMPIN UP COST?
You can sign-up via the official website. Though to complete the registration process, you would need the details of an existing demonstrator.
In addition to purchasing the business starter kit, you also get to choose product supplies to the value of $125 at no extra cost.
Is Stampin Up a scam? Before I reveal the verdict, lets take a look at the Pros and Cons of this business opportunity.
WHAT I LIKE ABOUT STAMPIN UP
Operates within various parts of the world
Registered with the Direct Selling Association.
Owners offer transparency.
WHAT I DO NOT LIKE ABOUT STAMPIN UP
No detailed compensation plan.
No income disclosure report.
Products are not unique.
Have to spend lots to qualify for discounts.
IS STAMPIN UP A SCAM? MY PERSONAL OPINION
I think that Stampin Up offers a refreshing entry to the MLM world. Whilst many MLM's like Hempworx, Jeunesse, Lifevantage are concentrated within the health niche, Stampin Up focuses on the creative side.
As I said earlier the products are not that unique. But here is the reason why I believe Stampin Up still flourishes. It's fun and it allows folks to focus on something that is lighthearted. It also encourages people to meet on social media, share their ideas and fosters relationships.
What about making money from Stampin Up? Is it possible? They have an active YouTube and Facebook following. It shows that folks are drawn to what the company is offering.
But the question is the earning potential. How much can you make and how successful can you be?- It's hard to say.
Without an income disclosure, it's hard to determine how the existing members are performing within the company. You also don't have any idea as to what the average take-home earnings per member are?
They do state that 500 people out 50 000 won the incentive trip.
That shows that a very small percentage(0.01%) are successful.
Joining a business is a big decision. You are thinking about your future. And you would want as much information as you can get about a company before you sign-up, right?
It makes it an easier decision if there were testimonials, success results, or proof of earnings. None of which is made readily available on the official Stampin Up website.
So as a hobby, or perhaps to make extra money, I believe that Stampin Up can be a viable option. However, I am of the opinion that it might not be the best option as a long term business opportunity.
